ASIWO U1 2-in-1 Underwater Scooter & SUP Motor – FAQs
No, it will float slightly on the water.
No, it’s not safe. Submerging the battery pack or replacing it underwater can damage the connectors between the battery pack and the main board.
- Place the ASIWO U1 sea scooter in the water.
- When ready to start, press and hold both triggers to activate the propeller.
- To stop, simply release the triggers.
Note: The scooter will only power on when both handle switches are pressed. Pressing just one handle will not activate the unit.
3-Gear Speed Control:
- Left handle: Shift down
- Right handle: Shift up
Important: When changing gears, do not release both handles at the same time. Always keep one handle pressed while using the other to shift gears.
- Before starting, make sure the Bluetooth indicator on the controller is on, confirming that the U1 is powered on and ready for Bluetooth control.
- Once your SUP equipped with the U1 is in the water, press the power button to Gear 1 (green light) for a smooth start.
- Press the right button to shift up to Gear 2 (yellow light) or Gear 3 (red light) to increase speed.
Press the left button to slow down.
Safety Instructions – SUP Receiver & Security Leash
- Secure the receiver to the tail of the SUP and ensure it is positioned on top to prevent it from falling into the water, which may interfere with the Bluetooth signal.
- Install the security locker on the receiver and attach the safety leash to your leg.
- If you fall into the water and the security locker is disconnected, the U1 will automatically stop for your safety.

No. The ASIWO U1 is not compatible with swing foil boards and does not support upwind assistance or takeoff with this type of board.
After use, underwater scooters may retain salt crystals, sand, chlorine, or pool chemicals, all of which can lead to corrosion over time. Rinsing the scooter with fresh water within a few minutes after your dive helps remove these corrosive residues and protects internal components. The longer these substances remain on the scooter, the higher the risk of damage and reduced performance.
Before storage or use, make sure the battery and main board connectors are completely dry. Moisture can cause oxidation and electrolysis when the unit is powered on, potentially damaging the connectors and affecting the scooter’s performance and lifespan.
This issue is often caused by sand particles or salt crystals entering the motor compartment. Submerge the scooter in water for a few minutes, then power it on and off several times to help flush out the debris and restore normal motor operation.
No. For safety reasons, we strongly recommend replacing the battery pack if the casing is damaged.
To extend battery life, fully charge the battery after each use, store it separately from the underwater scooter, and recharge it at least once every two months.
If you notice corrosion on the battery contact points, such as a green or white residue, follow these steps:
- Step 1: Mix vinegar with a small amount of salt, then use the solution to wipe the battery contact points gently. This will help remove corrosion and restore conductivity.
- Step 2: Allow the contacts to dry completely. If the battery will be stored for an extended period, apply a thin layer of wax or petroleum jelly (such as Vaseline) to help prevent future corrosion.
